Global Pulse is not a professional emergency-response service.

Global Pulse Does Not Dispatch Help

Global Pulse does not dispatch police, ambulances, firefighters, rescue teams, medical providers, security personnel, or embassy personnel.

No Continuous Monitoring

ExpatPostal employees do not continuously monitor your location, your device, your check-ins, your missed check-ins, your alerts, or your trusted contacts.

Do not assume a Global Pulse employee will see or personally respond to your emergency.

Alert Delivery Is Not Guaranteed

Alert delivery may fail or be delayed because of:

• No internet or mobile service
• Device battery failure, or a damaged or lost phone
• Disabled notifications or disabled location access
• Operating-system restrictions
• Incorrect contact information
• Spam filtering
• Provider outages and third-party failures
• App defects
• International network restrictions

Understand the Alert Status

Alert Sent Global Pulse confirmed that its system received the alert. This does not guarantee that every contact received, opened, or acted on the message.

Alert Delivery Pending — Waiting for Connection Global Pulse has not confirmed transmission. Use any available alternative immediately.

Location Is Not Guaranteed

A last known location may be old, approximate, incorrect, unavailable, or based on an earlier check-in.

Global Pulse is not a continuous live-tracking service unless a specific future feature clearly states otherwise.

Emergency Numbers May Change

Local emergency telephone numbers and procedures may vary by country, state, province, region, mobile carrier, telephone type, language, and type of emergency.

Verify emergency information when you arrive in a new location.

Trusted Contacts May Not Respond

A trusted contact may be unavailable, have no network service, ignore the message, misunderstand it, have outdated contact information, or be unable to assist.

Add more than one trusted contact when appropriate.

Missed Check-In Is Not a Confirmed Emergency

A missed check-in may happen because you forgot, you were sleeping, you crossed time zones, your device was offline, your battery died, notifications were disabled, or your plans changed.

Trusted contacts should attempt to contact you and use independent judgment.

Off-Grid Limitations

Global Pulse is not a satellite service. For remote activities, consider a satellite messenger, a personal locator beacon, a local guide, a travel itinerary, appropriate emergency equipment, and local safety procedures.

Medical Limitations

Global Pulse does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, clinical monitoring, medical advice, or prescription services. Call qualified medical professionals when needed.

AI Limitations

Future AI tools may assist with translation, message drafting, general information, or location descriptions. AI output may be incorrect. Do not rely on AI as a replacement for emergency services or professional advice.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your information accurate, testing notifications, maintaining your device and battery power, reviewing permissions, verifying trusted contacts, verifying local emergency procedures, carrying suitable off-grid equipment, and contacting emergency services when able.
