Delete Your Global Pulse Account or Data

You may request deletion of your Global Pulse profile, account information, or selected records.

Canceling a subscription and deleting data are separate actions. Deleting the app from your phone does not cancel a subscription, delete your account, or delete your Global Pulse records.

Before You Delete

Deleting Global Pulse data may remove your profile information, trip information, trusted contacts, check-in schedules, check-in history, emergency notes, location history, social-account connections, and saved preferences.

Some records may be retained when required for billing, taxes, fraud prevention, security, consent records, legal claims, or regulatory compliance.

Cancel Your Subscription First

When you have monthly access, cancel through the platform used to purchase: ExpatPostal, Apple, or Google Play. Deleting data does not necessarily stop billing through a third-party app store.

Option 1: Delete Selected Information

Inside Global Pulse, go to Settings → Privacy and Data. You may be able to delete a trip, delete check-in history, delete location history, remove a trusted contact, disconnect a social account, delete emergency notes, or delete uploaded files.

Option 2: Delete Your Global Pulse Profile

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Privacy and Data.
  3. Select Delete Global Pulse Profile.
  4. Review what will be removed.
  5. Confirm your identity.
  6. Confirm deletion.

Your general ExpatPostal mail account may remain active unless you separately request its deletion.

Option 3: Delete the Entire ExpatPostal Account

Use this option only when you want to close both Global Pulse and your broader ExpatPostal account. Mail-service, identity-verification, financial, or legal records may have separate retention requirements.

Website Deletion Request

Global Pulse privacy request

Ask us to export or delete your Global Pulse data. We will email you a link to confirm the request.

Request types: delete Global Pulse profile · delete selected Global Pulse data · delete location history · delete emergency-alert history · remove a trusted contact · delete entire ExpatPostal account · request data export before deletion.

Email Request

You may email privacy@expatpostal.com with the subject Global Pulse Data Deletion Request. Include your name, account email, requested deletion, and preferred contact method.

Do not email a full payment-card number, a password, a Social Security number, or a passport image unless specifically requested through a secure process.

Identity Verification

We may verify your identity before deletion. Verification may include signed-in account confirmation, email verification, SMS verification, transaction information, or additional secure verification. We will not request more information than reasonably necessary.

Trusted-Contact Requests

A trusted contact may request removal of their own contact information. The trusted contact cannot normally delete the primary user’s account.

Processing the Request

  1. Confirm receipt.
  2. Review the request.
  3. Identify records eligible for deletion.
  4. Delete or deidentify eligible information.
  5. Preserve legally required records.
  6. Confirm completion or explain a lawful denial.

Timing

We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law. Where no specific period applies, we aim to complete verified requests within 30 days. Complex requests may require additional time, and we will provide notice when appropriate.

Information We May Retain

We may retain limited information for transaction and tax records, subscription history, fraud prevention, security investigations, consent evidence, legal claims, regulatory compliance, and proof that a deletion request was completed.

Retained information will not be used for ordinary Global Pulse service or unrelated advertising.

Active Emergency Workflow

When a deletion request is made during an active emergency-alert workflow, we may delay deletion of the active incident record long enough to complete the alert process, protect users, preserve security records, and meet legal obligations. We will not use this exception to retain information longer than reasonably necessary.

Data Export

You may request a copy before deletion. The export may include your profile, trusted contacts, trips, check-ins, alert history, permissions, and subscription information. Some security-sensitive or third-party information may be excluded.

Deletion Confirmation

After completion, we will send a confirmation stating the scope of deletion, completion date, categories retained, the reason for any retention, and how to appeal or ask questions.

Appeal

When we deny all or part of a request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@expatpostal.com with the subject Appeal of Global Pulse Privacy Request.
