Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of mailbox, mail handling, package notification, digital mail management, document handling, pickup, address support, and related services provided by ExpatPostal ("ExpatPostal," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, purchasing a plan, using our services, submitting identification documents, completing required postal forms, or receiving mail or packages through ExpatPostal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our services.

Innbocks is a third-party technology provider. Innbocks may help process customer account information and digital records, but Innbocks does not physically handle mail or packages.
Physical mail handling, mailbox service, package receiving, pickup coordination, and related service obligations are provided by or through ExpatPostal and its authorized service locations, partners, or agents. ExpatPostal may also use payment processors, email/SMS providers, identity verification vendors, notaries, delivery partners, coworking partners, storage providers, and other operational partners.

4. Identity Verification and Postal Authorization
Before mail can be received, opened, scanned, released, transported, sent, or otherwise handled on your behalf, you may be required to complete identity verification and postal authorization requirements. This may include:

- Submission of required identification documents
- Notarization or remote online notarization, where applicable
- Verification of your identity and address

We may refuse, hold, return, report, dispose of, or otherwise handle prohibited items as permitted or required by law.
7. Plans, Fees, and Payment

ExpatPostal may change pricing, plan features, service limits, package limits, storage limits, included allowances, or additional service fees with reasonable notice. Continued use of the service after a pricing or plan change means you accept the updated pricing and service terms.
8. Failed Payments and Account Suspension
If your payment method fails, expires, is declined, or becomes invalid, we may:
- Notify you of the failed payment
- Suspend mail scanning, package pickup, U.S. letter sending, coworking delivery, document handling, or other account features
- Restrict access to your digital mailbox
- Hold mail or packages until payment is resolved
- Charge late, storage, reactivation, or administrative fees where applicable
- Terminate your account if payment remains unresolved
You remain responsible for all unpaid charges, including charges incurred before suspension or termination.
9. Mail Receiving and Notifications
When mail is received for your account, ExpatPostal or its service location may log the item and notify you through the Innbocks portal, email, SMS, phone, or other available communication methods. Mail notifications are provided as a convenience. We are not responsible for missed notifications caused by incorrect contact information, email filtering, spam folders, phone carrier issues, platform outages, or customer failure to check the portal.
You are responsible for regularly checking your ExpatPostal/Innbocks account for mail and package updates.
10. Mail Opening and Scanning
Standard mail scanning is included in every ExpatPostal membership plan, subject to plan-specific monthly scan limits. By using ExpatPostal, you authorize ExpatPostal or its authorized personnel to open and scan eligible standard mail where your account is active, legally authorized, and in good standing.
Standard mail generally includes letters, statements, notices, standard envelopes, and standard correspondence. Standard mail is scanned and delivered digitally through your secure ExpatPostal mailbox account.
ExpatPostal is designed as a digital-first mail access service. Standard physical mail is generally not delivered unless the item requires approved special handling.
We do not guarantee that every item can be scanned. We may refuse to scan items that are damaged, unusually large, legally restricted, unsafe, confidential in a way that prevents handling, or otherwise unsuitable for scanning. Digital scans are provided for convenience and may not replace original documents where originals are legally required.
11. Junk Mail, Advertisements, and Magazines
Advertisements and junk mail are automatically discarded to improve operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary storage. Examples may include promotional flyers, coupon mailers, unsolicited marketing materials, and other advertising mail.
Magazines are not treated as standard mail. Magazines may count toward the member's package allowance unless the member has an active Magazine Handling Add-On. The Magazine Handling Add-On is available for $10/month for members who regularly receive magazines and want them retained for pickup or approved handling.
12. Important Document Handling
Important Document Handling is available for approved sensitive physical items including credit cards, government IDs, driver licenses, checks, essential legal documents, and essential financial documents. This service is intended for approved sensitive items only and is not general mail forwarding, package forwarding, or international forwarding.
Service fee: $20 per approved item, unless otherwise shown in the customer portal or in published pricing.
ExpatPostal may refuse Important Document Handling for items that are unsafe, restricted, legally problematic, incomplete, suspicious, or otherwise unsuitable for handling.
13. Check Scan Service
Eligible members may request a secure scan of the front and back of a received check for use with their own financial institution's mobile deposit system. Service fee: $10 per check scan request, unless otherwise shown in the customer portal or in published pricing.
ExpatPostal is not a bank, financial institution, money transmitter, or check-cashing service. ExpatPostal does not deposit, endorse, cash, negotiate, process, or guarantee acceptance of checks. Members are solely responsible for using their own financial institution and complying with their bank's rules and requirements.
14. U.S. Letter Sending and No International Package Forwarding
Eligible plans may include U.S. letter sending services. U.S. letter sending means that eligible standard letters may be sent within the United States through ExpatPostal's approved process, subject to plan eligibility, account status, postage/payment requirements, operational availability, and applicable law.
ExpatPostal does not provide international package forwarding. Packages are not forwarded internationally and must follow the pickup, storage, coworking delivery, or approved handling rules of the member's plan. ExpatPostal is not responsible for customer assumptions that the service includes general forwarding or package forwarding when such service is not expressly stated in the selected plan.
15. Package Receipt, Package Limits, and Pickup
Package receipt, package notification, package storage, and package pickup services are subject to your selected plan. Package allowances are subject to monthly package count limits, weight limits, size limits, and operational availability.
All packages must fit inside a standard car trunk by length and width and must comply with the weight and package count limits of the selected membership plan. Oversized freight shipments, large furniture, appliances, commercial shipments, or packages that cannot fit inside a standard car trunk are not accepted.
ExpatPostal may set limits on:
- Package size, length, width, weight, and volume
- Number of packages per month
- Storage duration and storage fees
- Eligible pickup locations and pickup windows
- Coworking delivery eligibility
- Handling requirements, inspection requirements, or refusal conditions
You are responsible for picking up or arranging approved handling of packages within the required time period stated in your plan, notification, or service policy. We may refuse or reject packages that are oversized, overweight, unsafe, damaged, leaking, illegal, perishable, restricted, prohibited, or unsuitable for storage or handling.
16. Package Storage, Late Storage Fees, and Unclaimed Items
Packages are stored for up to 5 days after notification. Packages held after the 5-day storage period will be billed at $5 per day, per package.
If mail, packages, magazines, or sensitive physical items remain unclaimed, unmanaged, unpaid, or abandoned after notice, ExpatPostal may, where permitted by law:
- Continue storing the item and charge storage fees
- Return the item to sender
- Hold the item until payment or instructions are received
- Dispose of the item
- Handle the item according to applicable postal rules, service policies, or legal requirements
You are responsible for monitoring your account and taking timely action on mail and packages.
17. Pickup Appointments and Secure Storage Locations
Eligible members may schedule package pickup through the ExpatPostal appointment system. Pickup hours and availability may vary by location, staffing, security requirements, holidays, or operational conditions.
For security reasons, storage locations and certain pickup details are not publicly disclosed. Eligible members receive pickup instructions through the approved appointment process. ExpatPostal may require identification, account verification, pickup confirmation, or other security procedures before releasing any item.
18. Coworking Delivery Program
ExpatPostal may offer coworking delivery through approved coworking partner locations within approximately 40 minutes of the U.S.-Mexico border. Coworking delivery requires an approved partner location and a minimum of 5 active ExpatPostal members at the location.
Coworking delivery may be paused, modified, or discontinued if minimum member requirements are not maintained, if the partner location is no longer approved, or if operational conditions make delivery impractical. Coworking delivery does not mean ExpatPostal operates or provides access to coworking spaces. ExpatPostal provides mail and package services to eligible members at participating coworking offices.
19. Residential Address Add-On
The Residential Address Add-On is available only with Premium Membership and Household Membership. It is not available with Basic, Gold, or Platinum memberships unless ExpatPostal expressly provides otherwise in writing.
The Residential Address Add-On is billed separately at $49/month per person, unless otherwise shown in published pricing or the customer portal. The Residential Address Add-On does not change package limits, storage rules, delivery rules, pickup rules, mail processing services, or other plan limits.
Residential address services are intended to support lawful mail, address continuity, and related service needs for eligible customers. ExpatPostal does not guarantee that any address will be accepted by banks, financial institutions, government agencies, payment processors, credit bureaus, insurers, employers, residency programs, or third-party verification systems. Acceptance or rejection of an address is determined solely by the third party reviewing it.
ExpatPostal does not provide legal residency, immigration status, tax residency, voter registration, domicile establishment, or guaranteed proof of residence. You are responsible for determining whether an address is appropriate for your intended use. You may not use ExpatPostal address services to misrepresent your identity, location, residency, eligibility, or legal status.
20. Prohibited and Restricted Items
ExpatPostal does not accept illegal, unsafe, prohibited, restricted, or unsuitable items. Prohibited or restricted items may include, without limitation:
- Firearms, ammunition, weapons, explosives, or weapon parts
- Hazardous materials, dangerous goods, toxic substances, or chemicals
- Controlled substances, illegal drugs, or drug paraphernalia
- Perishables, liquids, leaking items, biological materials, or temperature-sensitive items
- Counterfeit, stolen, fraudulent, or unlawfully obtained goods
- Oversized freight, commercial shipments, or packages that cannot fit inside a standard car trunk
- Items prohibited by postal, carrier, customs, trade, import/export, or other applicable laws
ExpatPostal may refuse, reject, hold, return, report, dispose of, or otherwise handle prohibited or restricted items as permitted or required by law.
21. Customer Responsibility for Important Mail and Deadlines
ExpatPostal may receive important documents on your behalf, including financial mail, tax correspondence, legal notices, government notices, replacement cards, insurance documents, medical correspondence, checks, or other sensitive items. You remain solely responsible for:
- Monitoring your mailbox and notifications
- Reviewing scans and account updates in a timely manner
- Requesting Important Document Handling or Check Scan Service when needed
- Meeting legal, tax, financial, medical, banking, or government deadlines
- Responding to notices and communications
- Maintaining updated contact information
- Ensuring mail is sent to the correct address and recipient name
ExpatPostal is not responsible for missed deadlines, expired notices, financial consequences, account closures, legal consequences, or other losses resulting from your failure to monitor or manage your mail.
22. SMS, Email, and Account Notifications
By providing your phone number, email address, or other contact information, you agree that ExpatPostal may contact you about your account, service status, billing, mail notifications, package notifications, pickup reminders, support requests, security notices, and service updates.
If you opt in to SMS/text messages, you agree to receive text messages from ExpatPostal related to your account and services. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not required to purchase services. You may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP. You may request help by replying HELP or contacting us at info@expatpostal.com.
Transactional or service-related communications may still be sent by email or through the customer portal where legally permitted and necessary to provide the service.
23. Privacy and Data Handling
Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. We may collect and process information necessary to provide services, including name, email address, phone number, billing information, mailing information, identification documents, postal authorization forms, account activity, mail and package records, scans, service requests, support history, and communication history.
We may share information with service providers, software platforms, payment processors, carriers, identity verification providers, legal authorities, postal authorities, coworking partners, or other parties where necessary to provide the service, comply with law, prevent fraud, protect rights, or complete approved delivery or pickup functions. We do not sell your personal information.
24. Security
ExpatPostal uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect customer information, mail-handling records, package records, and digital scans. However, no system, portal, transmission method, storage method, or communication channel is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.
25. Third-Party Services
ExpatPostal may use third-party platforms and service providers, including Innbocks, payment processors, shipping carriers, SMS/email providers, identity verification vendors, notaries, storage providers, pickup partners, coworking partners, and other operational partners. We are not responsible for third-party outages, delays, errors, security incidents, policy changes, pricing changes, or service interruptions outside our reasonable control. Your use of third-party platforms may also be subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies.
26. Service Limitations
ExpatPostal does not guarantee uninterrupted service, instant notifications, same-day processing, universal address acceptance, carrier delivery timelines, scanning availability for every item, pickup availability at all times, coworking delivery availability, customs clearance, or acceptance of any address by a third party.
Services may be delayed, limited, suspended, or unavailable due to postal delays, carrier issues, customs issues, weather, holidays, staffing limitations, technical outages, account verification problems, payment issues, legal restrictions, security reviews, force majeure events, or operational conditions. We will use reasonable efforts to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee that services will be error-free or uninterrupted.
27. No Legal, Tax, Financial, Immigration, Residency, Banking, or Customs Advice
ExpatPostal does not provide legal, tax, financial, immigration, residency, domicile, banking, customs, import/export, or compliance advice. Any information provided by ExpatPostal is for general service guidance only. You should consult qualified professionals regarding your legal, tax, residency, banking, immigration, customs, or financial obligations.
